"Jobs for Career"

Very often we find people talking about their Career or Jobs in very confusing manner and that is very inappropriate. Because, they get confuse between two different aspects of their work lives unknowingly, Jobs Vs Career. 


Job can be any kind of work which may be suitable or not suitable, by matching the skill set or interest of any person with nature of work or not. Thus an employee prefers to obey his employer, due his personal or professional priorities which make him feel coincide the balance of his work life as well as personal life. 

Whereas, on the other hand 'Career' is said as a long term perspective of anybody's desire about typical Work Experience, Industrial Exposure or Designation, Organizational hierarchy position, Delegated Power, Authority or money for the instance to set as ones' life goal.

In a sense Job is a 'stepping stone' which an individual is going to use for achieving his future goal as a Career. 

People joins a job and over a period of Time, they judge it on the basis of their sweet & bitter experiences. Depending upon work environment, effective utilization of their skills and by foreseeing the opportunities through that Job further, decides whether to continue it or not. If, the employee find it suitable, then he may wish to develop job related work skills to achieve higher objectives through synchronizing personal goals along with objectives of the organisation and decide it as a Career.

Other perspective which express career is about a work itself. It states that any individual like to work to achieve higher efficiency in his Job role, Optimize his skills & resources and make that work enjoyable in a very professional manner, which ultimately becomes his Career.

One should consider the term 'Career' is definitely associated with an activity or an approach of individual to pursue his passion for his lifetime and maintain his livelihood out of it. For example: If, any student wish to pursue his career as a Banker, he may start working as a Cashier at first. Here, his designated job of Cashier is not his career, but, this job will lead him to achieve his goal in future. Similarly, after few days he will understand the potential of his current job and will opt to shift some other job with different responsibilities and nature of work which may offer him advanced skill set.

Job is Created and regulated by an Employer who hires an Employee to complete a desired task o attain his organisational objective. Whereas career is something that an individual pursue at the job assigned by his employer to fulfill his long term personal objectives. 

While considering the length of Job and Career, one can remarkably observe that Time span is predetermined between employer and employee through a written contract or verbal agreement at his work place where there is no such Time span preceded by an individual while shaping his career as in professional life.
